What Andy Reid wants...
For those who think the Arizona deal is going to happen this fast, think again. John Clayton reported that Andy Reid wants to look around the league and hear from a couple of teams that includes the Chiefs, he shows interest for the Chiefs. Reid wants to shop around to find the right job for him. He's not looking to make that quick decision.
BTW this was on NFL Live like 5 mins ago.

While I'm not a huge fan of retreads, we are talking about super bowl coaches against a guy passed over for 30 years who happened to have an impressive season against a pattycake schedule. He deserves coach of the year. I care more about which coach builds the best team for year 3. It's amazing to me that he's hyped to the point where he is in the same conversation as those guys.

My belief is that Arians is a perfect fit for the Chiefs since we will be drafting a QB #1.

Besides he got his NFL coaching career started in KC.

Well if the issue with Pioli is due to the lawsuits and money ect, it might not be that hard to convince a coach that Pioli won't be in the picture. Assuming that is why Pioli is still around.

His experience is with quarterbacks who were unbelievably gifted before they stepped foot in his office. And he is a known players coach. He is going to become a smarter slightly tougher version of norv turner. In fact, the best comparison is Rex Ryan. Ryan is a guy players love, but he cannot give players the tough love they need.

He has a terrific resume. Has been quality control, coordinator for a successful offense, and head coach. Unlike Arians, he has not been repeatedly overlooked for head coaching positions. Just my opinion, but shaw is a much better hire than Arians.

I'm pretty sure Shaw sees Stanford as a destination job. But I'd still kick the tires. This guy played under Walsh and coached under some great guys. He has NFL experience and his dad coached in KC once.

I wasn't critical of Romeos scheme. I was critical of the fact that soft players coaches don't toughen up overnight. I was dead right.

I never said coaches don't change. Bellichick is a great example of a coach whose scheme has changed impressively over time. Tomlin adjusted from Tampa 2 to labeaus zone blitz 3-4. But as you get older and more experienced with the scheme, we see coaches very often stick with old tricks. Reid is going to run west coast. We know that. Cowher will run zone blitz 3-4. We know that. Gruden is an exception because he isn't paying lip service. He studied for a full week boot camp with chip Kelly to learn his offense and has directly said when talking scheme he believes the game is shifting to a passing league. You can't read up in grudens study of the spread and not think his scheme will be totally different.

I don't care what kind of coach he is as long as he wins and IMO it is a plus he has mentored and worked with QB's drafted in the first round.

The argument NOBODY brings up about Gruden is that the bucs traded 2 first round picks AND two second round picks for him. Give the guy those picks back and he not only wins one SB there...but probably competes for more.
