You have two tickets to fly anywhere in the lower 48 states. Where do you go and why?

Just for a long weekend for two.

If you're going in the spring, I'd suggest either New Orleans or San Francisco. SWA flies to both (in fact, SWA flies to all 3 airports in the Bay) and are both beautiful cities. Both have a lot to see and do with NOLA being a little more on the party end. San Francisco has Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and across the Bay, Berkeley. You can also take the wine train to Napa for a nice day trip. Excellent food in both places.

Why do you say that? 5 day vacation is a 5 day vacation. Just curious.

I've been on several cruises ranging from 7-11 nights. You don't really get comfortable with the ship, the schedule, and relaxed enough on the vacation until around day 3-4. With a 4 night cruise you're off the ship right then. It's also different being in Florida where I can just walk on the ship. You'll have a travel day on the front & back end of it. JMO, but a 3-4 day cruise isn't worth it to just go to the Bahamas or Cozumel.

Well you would know. heh I'll take yours and Saul's word for it. Pricing them out, they are a little on the expensive side for a 4 day cruise.

If you're considering Vegas and can get a rental car I'd recommend staying an hour outside of Vegas in Mesquite, NV. From there you can check out Vegas for a day or two but, better, you can take day trips to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Red Rocks Canyon, and even the Grand Canyon.

NYC is Awesome - plenty to do: Broadway, Times Square, Ellis Island, Central Park, WTC, museums, delis, and on and on and on.

San Fran is also Awesome: Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate, Alcatraz, Mission District, Lombard Street, Muir Woods, Napa day-trip

It really depends upon what you're into: nature, art, theater, history, water/beach, entertainment

While I really like the idea of visiting my two favorite canyons, that would be a lot of driving to cram into just 4 days. JMO

How about Charleston? SW flies there. I've never been there but heard good things.

Don't know why, but NYC and DC have always been low on my list for cities to visit. Just never really had any desire to go there.

I spent an extended weekend in Orlando by myself. Went to Universal Studios and drove over to Daytona Beach for a night. Loved it.

If you opt for Vegas I'd like to make a couple of suggestions,stay at The Flamingo,Bally's and/or Harrah's as all three are closer to the middle.Secondly,forget the bus and cabs and buy a 3 day monorail pass for like $15-$20.The aforementioned casinos may not have all the glitz of others but the monorail will drop you off at the back of most of those and walking through them back to front can be a sightseeing trip on its own.

Also if the mrs doesn't mind hot chicks and great music I highly suggest the X Burlesque show at The Flamingo as I've been three times(once with my mrs) and it's very well done,couples friendly and guaranteed to get someone's motor running.

If that won't work then splurge and definitely take in The Beatles LOVE.

I've been told the monorail is horrible. I'm sure each persons experience with it is different though

Someone suggested Zumanity too.
