49ers on their way to a 16-0 season.

They just signed Asomugha to a one year deal for peanuts. Good lord.

Look at this ridiculous roster.

QB: Colin Kaepernick
RB: Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter, LaMichael James
FB: Bruce Miller

WR: Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham, A.J. Jenkins, Kyle Williams
TE: Vernon Davis

LT: Joe Staley
LG: Mike Iupati, Joe Looney
C: Jonathan Goodwin, Daniel Kilgore
RG: Alex Boone
RT: Anthony Davis

LDE: Ray McDonald, Demarcus Dobbs
NT: Glenn Dorsey, Ian Williams
RDE: Justin Smith

OLB: Aldon Smith
ILB: NaVorro Bowman, Dan Skuta
ILB: Patrick Willis
OLB: Ahmad Brooks

CB: Nnamdi Asomugha, Carlos Rogers, Terrell Brown, Perrish Cox
S: Craig Dahl, Donte Whitner, C.J. Spillman, Trenton Robinson

K: Phil Dawson
P: Andy Lee
LS: Brian Jennings

This is before their 10 draft picks in April.

Does this look like a 16-0 team?

Here's their opponents:

Home: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams

Road: New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars (London), Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams

Other than The Seahawks twice, that is.... friendly.

They're loaded no doubt, and i'd bet good money that Gandhi all of a sudden looks like a top player again, now that he's on a top team.

When the 49ers win the super bowl, I may have to buy a Chiefs hat just to say "Thanks!". Have it embroidered with #34.
Don't count your chickens before their hatched. Injuries are the great equalizer.
Plus, you just don't click your fingers and get to the SB every year. Viking fans thought the Jared Allen trade put them in the SB also, the last I looked they were still 0-4 there and no appearance since he was on the roster.

Look, I'll give ya the fact the Niners have tons of shit in place and more draft picks than we had snow this year in Iowa, but nothing is a gimme in the NFL.

Calmed down buckaroo.

So apparently the Rams going to SF and tying them without Jenkins and Givens doesn't mean shit while also beating them at home.

I guess beating Seattle in St. Louis doesn't mean shit either, nor does losing by 1 score in Seattle. Or having the best record in the division.

Keep on mother ****ing doubting Sam Bradford.

Oh those games with Seattle are gonna be classics. The schedule makers would be stupid not to put all their games in prime time for the foreseeable future.

Lions, meh who knows. Stafford can be a good QB I don't think their coach has it in him. Kinda like Mike Smith of the Failcons.

I expect Brees/Payton to light it up this year. I can't wait for the season to start.

BTW, what's this I hear about 49'er fans being violent at games and shit?

Is this true?

All fans can be stupid when they're drunk but it seems like last year there was always some kind of drama involving opposing teams fans when they attended games at San Fran or Oakland.
I remember hearing this a few years back. The Saints were hot and everyone should be afraid and then they went to Seattle and lost, what, in the wild card round?

I like how everyone makes all these predictions and promises but don't have a damn thing to do about the actual outcome.

We were down to our 3rd, then 4th string running backs in that game (Ladell Betts, then DeShawn Wynn). That is why Payton now keeps a plethora of RB's on the roster (usually with 1 inactive if all are healthy). In addition to the RB situation, Lance Moore also missing due to injury.

Also, greetings "houstonwhodat". Nice to see another Black-and-Gold guy here.

Saints are quite good at home. If they can get HFA, they're going to be tough to beat IMO.

I don't know about that. They have vengence on their mind this year with the return of Peyton & players available for the year. I wouldn't want to play them when Drew Brees is on his game.
