Chiefs 3.5 point favorites on the road @ JAX

Pretty much everyone here knew we would be the favorites...

Is 3.5 points too little? About right?

Will we win by 4+?

If so can CP make a ton of money on this game?

What say you, CP?

Shall our fortunes ride together?

Basically that means Vegas thinks we'll win by 7, right? Doesn't the home team automatically get a three point swing in their favor?

So the Jags have been betting favorites by the public to win, right?

Yeah, take Jacksonville. Good chance of winning. CP knows how well the Chiefs do on the road in Florida.

Its a precautionary line. I think around 10 will be the winning margin. 21-10 some where in there.

But yeah, so the actual line is 6.5

That seems more than fair....

The won 2 games last year. We have proven nothing. While I believe we should win by 17, we suck in Florida and we suck as a team as of the last time we hit the field in a game that counts.

Let's keep that in mind. Once we win 3 or 4 games in the first 5 or 6 games, then we can expect some positive expectations from the national guys.

Can't expect Alex Smith to throw 3 td in a game can we?

2 in a game is asking a lot but doable.

1 in a game is reasonable and should be expectable I think?

Then we can ask more out of Succup for field goals it seems we will be kicking a lot of those imo. Not because we want to but because we must.

We win 16 to 14 one td and 3 field goals ftw. They get two rushing tds.

Hundreds of people lose money in vegas for Chiefs not beating the spread.

Drew has been limited to 10 carries per game in the preseason after coming off a lisfrance surgery this past season.

I doubt that he's fully ready to run a full load right off the bat.

As well, Gabbert hasn't thrown because of an injured thumb, though he's penciled in as the starter over Henne.

So, they are installing a new offense under a first time head coach and their two main guys they expect to run it haven't been able to fully operate in it.

As well, they are starting two rookies at CB and Safety.

Bowe and Fasano will see a lot of looks from Smith picking apart the rooks.

As well, the Jags are starting a rookie at right offensive tackle. Now, you might comment that the Chiefs are as well, but the Jags are horrible rushing the passer while Luke Joeckel is going to see a steady diet of Pro-Bowlers Tamba Hali and Justin Houston all game long.

The only real interesting matchup of the game is Jags MLB Paul Posluzsny vs. Charles and Fasano. Pos is a pretty darn good player and covers both the run and pass well.

The only advantage that the Jaguars have in this game is whatever understanding of the Chiefs that they are able to pry out of Ricky Stanzi and his memory of the Chiefs playbook.

This one should be an absolute blowout.

However, what is and what should be are two entirely different things, aren't they?

The Chiefs get ****ing pounded nearly every time they play in Florida.
