Mitch Holthus Monday Night Hy-Vee Show
Now that the Chiefs are off for a couple of weeks this is a bit off topic but as I was cleaning out the garage I was listening to the radio and Mitch was on with the Chiefs show at Hy-Vee. Anyway he had guests on and talked as a homer would.
But here is my problem, do they think that the people who listen to the show are just unbelievably slow or something? I mean seriously he said ( trying to get the crowd to do it at the same time) " Put the hammer down." The first time I heard him say it I thought it was one of the stupidest things I had ever heard, maybe for 1st graders, but not 2nd and beyond. THEN he proceeds to say it at least another dozen times in the broadcast. I mean really? really? really? Fu## I just couldn't believe how bad he was making it sound. Then he kept saying the word " HUGE " over and over but not the normal way you would just say huge. But he would stretch it out and say it like " HUUUUUUUUGE" and for things that just don't matter, like " Hunt ran for 14 yards on that play, and it was HUUUUUUUGE." Seriously? Again it sounded like something you would say with 1st graders. I mean I hope its not me that thinks that this show is unbearable to listen too, even if the Chiefs are winning, I still couldn't stomach the " Put the Hammer down" and the " HUUUUGE" comments over and over. I wish someone would tell them how a$$anine the whole thing sounds... sorry for the venting, just can't believe that have a radio show with Mitch and several players and they make it sound so remedial. |
