My 2014 Chiefs Mock Draft

Pick #23 Stephon Tuitt Notre Dame Defensive Lineman
Because of his scheme and position versatility and pass rush ability, I think Tuitt is ideally suited for the Chiefs hybrid D. DeVito and Bailey haven't shown pass rush ability and Catapano is an unknown with his added weight. Louis Riddick, ESPN analyst, says Tuitt's private pro day workout was phenomenal but I haven't found any other reporting on it.

Pick #87 Dri Archer Kent State Slot WR/Return Specialist
Considering the production Reid and Toub got out of the slowest 175 lb slot wr/return specialist in the NFL, I think they would be excited about having the fastest 175 lb slot wr/return specialist in the NFL. I'd love to see the 2014 Chiefs run some triple stack offense with K. Davis lined up behind A. Smith in pistol formation with J. Charles stacked behind D. Bowe split right and D. Archer stacked behind T. Kelce split left. That would provide serious horizontal and vertical threats to go with two good run options in the backfield.

Pick #124 Marqueston Huff Wyoming Safety/Cornerback
Scheme and position versatile. 127 tackles as a Senior playing his only season at safety. Looked good in coverage during Senior Bowl week.

Pick #163 Larry Webster Bloomsburg Outside Linebacker
Great athlete with limited experience at OLB. Needs pro conditioning and nutrition to develop as Hali's successor.

Pick #193 Kevin Pamphile Purdue Offensive Tackle
Two year starter at OT after playing Dline previously. Athletic but inexperienced prospect who showed good feet and hand work at pro day which Chiefs attended.

Pick #200 Beau Allen Wisconsin Defensive Tackle
Huge DT with good strength, agility and balance. Ran cone drill in 7.27s, same as Clowney. Allen's shuttle and vertical were better than Poe's and his broad jump was one inch less. Could play on the nose or 3 tech. Could relieve Poe or play beside him if the Chiefs go heavy.
