Morse and Bailey expected to return to practice on Wed
Mitch Morse set to return to practice for Chiefs
http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt...e48828565.html Chiefs center was scheduled to practice Wednesday Kansas City Chiefs center Mitch Morse was expected to be back at practice Wednesday after suffering a concussion Nov. 29. David Eulitt deulitt@kcstar.com BY BLAIR KERKHOFF bkerkhoff@kcstar.com Center Mitch Morse and defensive end Allen Bailey were expected to return to the Chiefs’ practice field Wednesday. Morse had taken every snap this season until suffering a concussion in the Chiefs’ victory over the Bills on Nov. 29 and hadn’t seen action in practice since then. Bailey had been a limited practice participant with a calf injury, but both players were inactive for last week’s game at Oakland. CHIEFS’ JARROD PUGHSLEY EXPECTED TO PROVIDE DEPTH AT GUARD, TACKLE Three players with concussions — safety Husain Abdullah, defensive end Mike DeVito and wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas — were expected to miss practice. Linebacker Justin Houston wasn’t set to practice while recovering from a hyperextended knee. Tamba Hali also will sit out. The Chiefs signed offensive lineman Jarrod Pughsley from the practice squad and waived center Daniel Munyer. Pughsley can play guard and tackle as the Chiefs sort through injuries along the offensive line. Guard Jeff Allen played only seven snaps at Oakland. Pughsley “plays guard and tackle and steadily improved throughout camp,” coach Andy Reid said. “He’ll come in and add to the depth.” |
