The Royals win against the A's in 2014 was the defining moment for me. That was just incredible. The subsequent World Series loss in Game 7 was really difficult because I was so emotionally invested after that first playoff win in 29 years.

This year's Royals run was a blast and the win was really gratifying, but oddly enough, it didn't mean as much as 2014 for me. I was happy and I'm still happy they won the World Series but for whatever reason, it felt anti-climatic.

Today's win felt the same way. Anti-climatic. There was never any point, before or after the game, in which I felt the Chiefs were in danger of losing.
