My Mock - 4/8

I'm doing this exclusively from prospects that have been interviewed by the Chiefs.

2/54: Frank Ragnow, C. Veach makes a lot of people rage by picking an offensive player as his first pick, but picks up a real under-rated beast who can play some guard in his first year and also be an option to replace Morse next year at center.

3/78: Armani Watts, S. Probably the better coverage safety to complement Berry. Some of the other safeties available at this pick will be more like Berry replacements than Berry complements, in my opinion.

3/86: Ogbo Okoronkwo, EDGE. Chiefs are known for picking people with hard to pronounce names. PFF ranks him 5th in this edge class, I think he has a good chance to really develop into a solid NFL player.

4/122: Nick Nelson, CB. I think he would go higher if it wasn't for the injury, could be good value in the 4th round I think. Might even go in the 5th, but I can't see a logical way to trade up or down to the 5th with the picks the Chiefs have this year.

4/124: Nathan Shepherd, DL. Developmental pick for the Dline who I wouldn't expect to play much in year one, but could eventually be a very good player. The DL unit has okay depth but is full of guys with 1 year left on their deal, so a good time for a developmental pick.

6/209: Rashaan Gaulden, CB. Adding some depth here to a very weak CB group that also has potentially 2 of 3 starters not signed through 2019.

7/233: Logan Woodside, QB. Not really sure what QB's will be kicking around at the end of the draft, but I think the Chiefs probably fill their QB room with a kid from the late rounds, Woodside would be decent for that.

7/243: Lowell Lotulelei, DL. Terrible 2017 but decent the year before. There's a coaching connection through Alex Whittingham so maybe they know what the issues were in 2017 and he can be a rotational NT depth guy or get cut in camp.
