Chiefs Buddy of mine, huge chiefs fan passed last night

A guy I grew up with playing pitch and enjoying life with chiefs games, camp fires and just weekend partying. Mitch was more than a decade older than I was, but started hanging out with mutual friends as I worked with one of his buddies in high school. They all welcomed me in, even with the age difference and me being a high school kid. We all became lifelong friends.

My own divorce led us to spend less time together the last few years, as my ex father in law was one of those friends. Sucks how crap like that can change things way beyond a relationship with your partner.

So I'm now into a three finger glass of crown, listening to some zeppelin on vinyl and going to be thinking about my buddy as I watch the game this weekend.
