The Beatles not only created great rock music...
they also were the first to perform in a stadium with an audience of 50,000 or more... They Inspired several genres... including techno with 'Tomorrow Never Knows' Also, they pioneered teh music video, as they no longer opted to travelling to all of these tv shows to promote their album... so they sent a video. I really like the Stones... I think Exile on Main St is one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time. However, pound for pound... in 6 years... the Beatles owned the music world. Rolling Stones have done it for more years, but The Beatles have more ground breaking albums, and 10 times the #1 hits. |
