Updated this post after further readings and thoughts...
This is not a prediction of the order that they will be drafted but rather my order of who will be the best NFL WR...This years draft reminds me a lot of the 96 draft with MeShawn, Harrison, Glenn, Moulds etc.etc... They always draft with a priority on size and speed and fundamentals usually take a back seat...That is why the MeShawn's of the world go at the top of the draft while a Marvin Harrison fall into the 20's. Reggie Wayne is this years Marvin Harrison. This position is so deep that even the Faiders should back into a decent #2 receiver this year. 1) Chad Johnson: If Morgan or a legitmate RBOTF is gone, I would draft him at #12... 2) Koren Robinson: Raw complete package 3) Reggie Wayne: Complete package. Probably the bargain of the 1st round. 4) David Terrell:Should be very good, but Top 5 is too rich. 5) Qincy Morgan:Could bulk up to become the Eric Moulds of this draft. 6) Rod Gardner: Poor mans MeShawn. 7) Santana Moss:Az Hakim with better hands but not a #1 WR. 8) Chris Chambers: Overrated,More Tony Simmons than Al Toon 9) Freddie Mitchell: If he were half as good as he thinks he is then he would be at the top of the board. 10)Marvin Minnis: Might be too small. Questionable tude... This draft if deep with middle round bargains that could be sleepers:(Many of these guys would be 2nd round talent in most drafts but will fall because of the depth) Boo Williams Kevin Casper(Would love to get in the 5th round or later) David Martin Ken-Yon Rambo Reggie Germany T. J. Houshmandzadeh Robert Ferguson Ronney Daniels Alex Bannister Scotty Anderson [Edited by jl80 on 02-11-2001 at 10:45 AM] |
