It is quite the coop experience. In a black out riot, a bunch of gangs and people are looting the place and we're doing our part... car stereos... garbage cans through store windows. Smashing an electric guitar into some asshole's head.

You haven't lived until you see someone running out of a store with a big TV in his hands, so you bat them in the head with an immense wrench and they go down instantly... After maybe 18 seconds, they crawl up to stand and are woozy and barely conscious, so you whip that wrench again and they are down. My roommate says: "I REALLY don't think he's getting up again. UNCUFF ME!"

Because, you see, riot cops have shown up on his side of the map (the game goes to splitscreen when you're too far from each other, which is awesome--at least on a widescreen TV, since it's side by side. Dunno about 4:3 boxes.) and have cuffed him. Everything in the game is a mini-game... Lock picking, car stereo stealing, graffiting (and probably more I haven't seen yet...) If your gangmate, or your coop buddy gets cuffed or downed, you can uncuff him or inject him with flash to get him back on his feet. So I go to uncuff my roommate, and ducking to do this, a garbage can goes sailing right over my head into a car. We laughed about it. That would've ****ing hurt.
