I hate feeling helpless.

So, the pup isn't doing the best. It appears as if the parents are putting him down tomorrow. He's a bit older than 3 years.

He was a heavier dog -- around 125 at one time -- he's down to 111 now. Vet called it spinal cord disease, possibly cancer, or a herniated disc.

What's strange to me is that he appears that he's not in pain, but he's obviously not the same. I guess what bothers me most is how my mother is acting -- I don't blame her. It kills me to see her the way she is now. Putting him down is probably the smartest thing -- although it kills me.

I've actually cried tonight -- the first time in a real long time. I just hate feeling utterly helpless -- there's nothing I can do or say to him to make him feel any better. That kills me.

I love you Cooper.
