Alan Faneca released
The Jets have reportedly released LG Alan Faneca.
The headline here reads "Jets release Pro Bowl G Alan Faneca." A Pro Bowler Faneca was in 2009, but he sure didn't play like it. Second-round pick Vlad Ducasse now looks to be locked in at left guard. Faneca, 33, should draw some interest, but won't approach the $7.5 million he was due from the Jets. http://twitter.com/ManishMehta1/status/12743550627 I know we don't really need a Guard anymore, but I was all over getting this guy when he was available. Was his play really that poor? That Jets line was sick last year. |
