So...
Cold/Flu season is among us around these parts. It all started a week ago today. I showed up to work feeling fairly shitty. My boss took one look at me and said, "GTFO, you'll infect everyone dude."

I've always been germ-phobic when it comes to this time of year. Constantly using hand sanitizers, sanitizing wipes on equipment etc. I can tell you that I had no chance of avoiding the original illness. I had to process almost 500 applicants in a week, face to face (for a 15.00 p/h job btw; Recession, we has it).
Not to mention my boy is in daycare with 30 other little snot smearing heathens.

Most of the applicants were the "salt of the earth type" you know, unwashed douchebags. So, I went home with a 102.5 fever, nausea, squirts and doing a little toilet hugging.

I was sick as hell all weekend last week. Got up Monday and was feeling a little better. Hopped in the shower and the next thing I know, I'm doubled over in pain. I had to clean out the shower after I projectile-vomited all over it.
At that point I took my temp, 103. Called the doc and got my ass in there. His exact diagnosis, "you've got the stomach bug that's going around." I'm instructed to do the old stand-by treatment. Immodium, clear fluids and chicken broth.
Ok, I took Friday, Monday and Tuesday off. Went in on Wednesday feeling a little better. Yesterday I get up and Lumpy thought I was dying. Threw up twice before work but went in anyway, (can't afford to miss any work, you know)?
Called the Doc, he told me to swing in today after work if I still feel shitty. I did. They weighed me in, on Monday I was a beefy 205 lbs at 6ft tall. Now? 194. 9 lbs in 4 1/2 days.

The official diagnosis? Upper GI infection and a bronchial infection that would have led to pneumonia if I let it go one more day. DOUBLE WHAMMIE!!!

Got the antibiotic shot in the hip and some muscle relaxers for cramps.
Now Mrs. Lumpy has a head cold as does Jr.
We're about to get quarantined by the CDC.

Just felt like blowing off some steam. Being that sick for 7 days really sucks gang.

Anyone else dealing with illness issues?
