Dear Greatest Fans in the NFL:

Dear Greatest Fans in the NFL:

It is I, your Patron Saint of Castoff San Fran QBs, Former President/GM/CEO/PoopDoesNotStink/LTGMIPS Carl Delano Peterson, and I must say, emphatically, I LOVE THIS TRADE!

Yes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I mean, my nipples are literally hard.

John Dorsey is a man of my own stripes. What were my two best moves at the QB position during my illustrious twenty-year dynasty of the Peterson five year plan?
1) Bringing in Joe Montana. Yes, this move is Montana-like in its brilliance. Even USA Today thinks so:

2) Trading a first and second round pick for Trent Green/Dick Vermeil.
Vermeil coached in Philadelphia. Andy Reid coached in Philadelphia. Everyone knows people who have been in Philly are smarter than anyone in Cowtown KC. Alex Smith has a history of injury, just like Trent Green. Both come to KC on the downside of their careers. See how it all lines up? It's like deja vu all over again! Now if Dorsey would just draft a big, slow, lumbering offensive lineman with the first pick....someone like Trezelle Jenkins!

And, with a four or five year run of 6-10, 8-8 and 9-7 teams, Clark Hunt can continue to keep fan interest, sell season tickets and corporate suites, attract the Northwest Missouri State-Pittsburg State Game, and raise ticket and parking prices on a yearly basis. Leave the playoffs to Denver, we'll be in the black!

It's almost as if I were still Boss. Somehow, I think maybe I still AM The Boss. Here's to second and third place in the AFC West for the rest of the decade, and remember, a Chiefs Fan is born every minute! Did I mention you are the greatest fans in the NFL?

in retirement,
Carl "Delano" Peterson
Formerly LTGMIPS
