Could anyone suggest a lawyer for me

I need a good personal injury attorney. My job where I got injured is being very evasive about wanting to give me workman's comp. My injury will require therapy and possibly surgery so I need that covered I also could sue the homeowner where this happened. I'd appreciate any help from you guys.

This is why I call you a dumbass every time one of these threads pop up pat.

Mecca's personal responsibility was to fulfill obligations to his employer and to the employers customers by delivering goods and service by those that request it. As a property owner, it's your personal responsibility to ensure that your property is safe.

One side met their side of the bargain, the other did not. The side that fulfilled their obligation was injured because the other did not.

Mecca got injured due to his own negligence. The condition of the sidewalk was clear to all.

I'm not sure I've ever noticed you calling me a dumbass before. I'm not terribly impressed though so you'll probably have to remind me again next time.

That's just dumb. Sorry.

By following that train of thought, nobody should ever put salt down for businesses or their homes because its not their fault the snow and ice are there. If anyone falls on the hazard their negligence created, they shouldn't be responsible.

That makes no sense.

I agree with patteau. Mecca should've taken responsibility for what happened by shooting his boss in the face and burning the customer's house down. The Amurican Way.

There are plenty of reasons to put down salt. But when you slip on ice that you know is there without being pushed, it's your fault.

Unfortunately it is highly doubtful their homeowners insurance will cover it. They will almost undoubtedly advise you their insured is not at fault. They might have some medical coverage for others that regardless of liability can apply but its usually capped at a very small amount

What do you mean 'evasive'?

Make sure you notify your supervisor/store manager in writing immediately. Ask if there are any forms that you need to fill out or submit.

Sit down and make some very good notes about the dates, times, locations, names of everyone you spoke with, what was said, etc. Better yet, start a notebook and every time you talk to someone or do anything, make a note.

Work comp is a no-fault system, as long as you were in the performance of your job and not doing something dangerous/illegal (driving drunk to deliveries, for example) they should pay for your medical bills and such.
