Any CP'ers with the capability of reverse lookups?
My girlfriend and I have been getting a shit-ton of texts for the last couple of months from some random guy (who has apparently been crushing on her for quite a while) and we are sick of it. I know in the past the Planet has had some pretty good sleuths. I won't supply the number in the OP, but it's getting to the point of ridiculousness. So, I'm calling upon the power of the Planet! (at the VERY least, a couple thousand text bombs from various numbers should provide good entertainment). I would just call the guy, but that's probably exactly what he wants. Ideas?

A landline in Iowa? Sounds like he knows how to spoof numbers or use google voice. Good luck tracking down the real source of the texts.

Now I understand. Seems to me that you could bring all of this to the police and have it resolved.

Or possibly go to her superiors (one that would have phone numbers for everyone at the job) and see if they found a match. I'm sure if you presented them with the evidence that the culprit must work there they'd be more than happy to put a stop to the psycho's actions.

Either that or he ported his old landline into his cell. I don't know. But if he's spoofing the number, then he's doing it with everybody. He hasn't slipped AT ALL.

A 100 people work in the office, so lets say 50 men, and then you eliminate the obvious no's and you get maybe 15 guys. I think they will figure it out.

How quickly did he text you after she got to the office that she was upset? How many people did she interact with that day who would know if she was upset or not and again timing is crucial here? C'mon man this stuff is easy.

Yeah I hear ya. I'd really just rather take care of it myself, but I realize that may be impossible. And thanks! It just seems that it could be fun if I could rile up enough planeteers with his bullshit, I'd put the number out there and let the internet knock him down a peg or three.
