No offense, but how could it be the wrong one? You're toying with this, but if legit there is real potential danger there. This person knows exactly when you're at work out of the house, and obviously where your wife is through the day.

You might be putting yourself or her in danger, as well as doing yourself disservice by not reporting it now. You've not only let it persist for months, but actively plotted back with a fake break up. WTF? The cops might look at that and think you've lost your damn minds.

From your description, it doesn't sound like you or your wife are treating as seriously as you should. You can end this now by calling the cops. And even some payback scenario where you break his legs would come back and bite you at this point. JFC, call the cops you've got enough evidence to ruin his day and end the issue.
