Early afternoon bullshit: the Chiefs in post-Manning era

Peyton Manning has 1 more year at most IMO. I think he'll play next year, but after that he's done. I think there's a 30% chance he hangs 'em up tonight if he wins, but hopefully the Donkey's lose.

This begs the question...how do you feel about the Chiefs in the post Manning era? Keep in mind Brady is winding down too. He looked horrific in his last game and it begs the question of if he can win on the road in the playoffs.

I think that once Manning retires Denver will fall to the depth's of mediocrity. They'll be a 6-8 win team at best. I don't believe in Brock Assweiler.

I think the Chargers will be a little worse than last year. Ken Whisenhunt leaving is a huge loss for them IMO.

Obviously you have teams like the Colts and Ravens who will always be in the thick of it, but I think that we're going to have a lot of chances to be in the postseason in the near future. I like how Dorsey is building this thing and I think his draft picks from year 1 will show much more next year.

I think we are in a good position. Obviously we aren't beating Manning now, but build this team up so that we can take over when he's done. We have the GM IMO. We have the coach. We have the QB. Hell Russell Wilson, Tom Brady in his first SB appearance, Big Ben in his first SB appearance, Trent Dilfer, Rex Grossman..all of these guys were game managers and I think Alex Smith can be a better version of those guys when they were in those particular SB's.
Either way I'm ready for the ride.

Go Seahawks!

They are soooooo stupid for bringing Manning back again. As if he can play another season like the one he just had. SB losers never go back the next year and they would be wise to move forward without him.

Wut? That's not a given. I like KC over the bolts if they played tomorrow. Rivers is way too inconsistent.

Exactly. KC could have easily won both games this year and absolutely got robbed in SD of a win. I like KC's chances to win the West the next couple of seasons.

SD is the better team going forward?

I don't think so.

They won on a last minute come back and the second game had to go to overtime, VS. OUR SECOND STRING, just to get a win.

That's not a team to fear...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Yet they had no problem scoring on the kc defense at Arrowhead.

Chances are the game in San Diego is an example of bad preparation and a team playing down to the level of opposition more then anything else.

I think you should read my post again...I never said SD is the better team moving forward. In fact I said just the opposite.

His muscles will continue to degenerate no matter what he does to try and prevent it. Lots of ducks thrown this season. It will only get worse

And that's a team who looks ready to win the division?

Pfffft...

No problem? I think you know better than that. Smith actually had tight coverage on the winning TD. He went to swat the ball away & I have no idea how he missed it. It was a crazy play in a tight game. You make it sound like they were running up the score. Rivers is just as likely to throw that ball directly to Tyson Jackson some days.
