I don't think he is, but maybe? I think he's worth around 12 - 13 million, and put in some incentive clauses if he really blows up ...

I was there too. Although towards the end, I was only loud because I was being obnoxious. It got to the point where a discussion wasn't possible, either because of Bob or Blackmon. I went the "if you can't beat em, join em" route and eventually just decided to go away for a while.

Lamar was always like that. He left Jack Steadman as GM about 20 years too long. I don't know about Clark. He got rid of Peterson and Pioli pretty quick.

To be fair, Steadman was involved in several of Lamar's other businesses, and most of them were pretty successful.

That was an era where Lamar had too many irons in the fire and he kind of treated the Chiefs like he would any one of his other enterprises.

He wasn't focused enough on football. It's entirely possible Steadman himself was spread too thin, too...

Who really cares, I guess, but it's funny how this crowd can't pick a winner to save our lives.
This forum picks winner QBs all the ****ing time. They're just never in a position to get taken by the Chiefs, that's all.

There are some fans who aren't afraid to be wrong on a QB pick, because they recognize that there's really nothing all that terrible about it. The fears of "OH NOEZ QB BUSTZ!" is what pisses us off.

It always starts out with "The Chiefs should take a shot on a QB because we don't ****ing have one right now. Perhaps Mark Sanchez, etc..." The pooh-poohing that erupts basically corners those people into defending those QBs to the death.

For example, I was in favor of tapping into Jimmy Clausen. I wanted Eric Berry more, but I wouldn't have minded trading up from the 2nd for Clausen. As it turns out we didn't even need to trade up if we wanted to get him, and when we passed on him for Midget Mc****stick, that's when shit erupted. People acted like it was all about liking shitty QBs, but it was more about not being afraid to see if we could strike it.

After all, for every Jimmy Clausen there's a Colin Kaepernick, and for every Brodie Croyle there's a Russell Wilson. How the **** are you supposed to get a Russell Wilson if you're too afraid he's going to be Brodie Croyle?

You bet your ass.

I've forgotten how pissed off I was when the Alex Smith trade happened because the pain of the Colts playoff loss has taken my mind off that heinous memory for good. But I was pretty upset.

I was on the Mark Sanchez bandwagon, but I also said the he was guy that should not start right away or you'd ruin him.

I wanted no part of Clausen.

I wanted Geno Smith, but I again said he was guy that should sit his rookie season.

Bridgewater looks to me like a guy who will never start a full 16 games in any season.
I don't think he'll be a bust.
He'll just get busted constantly.

I'm still of the belief that he's going to turn out to be a decent QB, and I still think that under Reid he had a legit shot to be something in the league.

He flashed his rookie year and also had some bad "oh no" moments.

They gave him a solid receiver in Decker, so that should help his progress.
