What would you consider a successful season?

Given all of the injuries that our team has had to endure so far and the lack of any impact players via FA, what would you consider a successful season for this year?

A playoff win is the only thing I'll consider to be a successful season.

NEVER forget...Second place is First LOSER.

I'm in no mood to hear excuses about injuries etc.

This team still sports 4 pro bowlers on defense, 2 on offense if you count Bowes past nominations, a ballyhooed HC, a big name GM and one very expensive QB... if they cant right the ship amidst this storm then they dont deserve all of the hype and money they get.

Once I got past the disappointment/pouting stage of last weeks loss, it really just turned to anger at some of these guys... playoffs or die you suck monkeys, no ****ing excuses.

Chiefs are really trending towards a 3 or 4 win season. Top 5 pick plus adding a slew of solid players in the draft as well a couple free agency moves should give us playoff potential next season. If I can pick which games they"ll win , I'll be financially successful.

I don"t think that fits Andy's player relations philosophy.

We got plenty of picks. Multiple chances to acquire a handful of players who will provide immediate help to the team.

This team has 2-4 star players and little else. And the positions where we REALLY need the help aren't the sort that you'd want to draft in the top 5 (interior line, secondary).

QB at 1.
If they decide to let Bailey walk and release Devito, then 5-tech becomes a big problem. Williams absolutely becomes a legitimate option if/when that happens.

Considering we play a 3 technique more often than not, I'm curious as to why you're so adamant about getting a player who just plays the 5 technique.

So, what's with this obsession with a 5 technique?

Honestly, if we end up with the 1st overall pick and don't draft Leonard Williams, it will be a huge mistake.

He has Watt potential. 6'5", 300 pounds, had 11 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 TFL vs Stanford while playing on a bad ankle. He is also only 20 years old. There's your chance to have a really dominant defense by adding a dominant 5-tech next to Poe which will help everyone else in the front-7 as well. Best chance at getting back to the playoffs in 2015.
