Spewing vitriol is just words. The inequalities, and challenges faced by our black brothers has been inexcusable, and disgusting in regards to economics, police brutality, and a large variety of other real world disadvantages they've faced vs just having people say mean shit to them.

I also know that plenty of white people have been hurt, and died at the hands of racist blacks. Would you say it's anywhere even remotely close to 50/50? I wouldn't, and that matters too me.

That's not fair BL, and I think I've done my part in being open and honest about this. I don't involve myself in moderating revolving around racism, because I KNOW I'm more sensitive too it. I've made plenty of mistakes as a mod, but I know for a fact that since my own little hiatus I'm doing a much better job, and not allowing my emotions to affect my decision making. I even apologized if it even sounded like my opinion of people beating on Arrow sounded like a mod directive, because it wasn't. At all. That was with no one accusing me of it, just me being sensitive that it MAY HAVE come across that way. And I can see now that it did.

Disclaimer: The one ban I've made since coming back around was for racism. But it was blatant, and a huge violation of the TOS. Other posters called for it before I pulled the trigger.

I don't really know what else to say, because I'm trying to be clear about the moderating thing. I have always been anti-ban as well, and I'll be the first to admit that I didn't follow that creed in a lot of my early decision making. I am following it now, and do not remotely want people to think that I'm going to push the big red button if they disagree with me, or somehow piss me off personally. All I can do is walk the walk and let actions speak louder than words.

I think you're misreading me. You sense that I'm daring you to exert power inappropriately. I'm saying I'm through caring what the mods do around here anymore. This place has bigger problems [ie, hateful fans and inextricably entrenched positions and cliques] than banhammers anymore.

Yeah, I would agree with all of that. I have to be conscious of the mod thing though, and be diligent to challenge anything I think is not right. I've driven a few of them batty. It's my job.

Historically speaking, yes, it's been one sides as ****, but the last five years? I'd disagree. According to the media, I'm sure you're right, but the media is worse than historical racism when it comes to just stirring the pot.

I believe with all of my heart that the Brown incident has set back the movement for blacks in regards to racism. The whole thing from my perspective has been about lies, and pushing an agenda, facts be damned. And that's a gigantic ****ing shame too me.
