NFL.com Now Has Chiefs Ranked #6 Overall...Says SB Is Possible
NFL.com just came out with their new post preseason rankings and has the Chiefs as #6 overall and the favorite to win the AFC West over Denver who they now have ranked #13. Ike Taylor says "the cement has finally settled in Andy Reid's new house in KC" and that the roster is deep top to bottom.

3 Best AFC Teams (according to Demeshek and Taylor) are...

1. Colts (#3 in NFL)
2. Pittsburgh (#5 in NFL)
3. Chiefs (#6 in NFL)

(Patriots were #12 in NFL and #6 in AFC)
(Broncos were #13 in NFL and #7 in AFC)

Ultimately that is the key. Does KC come out flat or do they move the ball, score and put the pressure on Texas offense. Ive said that numerous times this preseason and years before.

I'd really like think that based upon what they did in the preseason, they've got some execution under their belt that they could move the ball and make some plays. It really comes down to Alex and the OL.

Chiefs thinking SB and can very easily go 0-4 out of the gate and you guys will be looking at what QB to draft in the top 5 only to draft an undersized, bust T from the MAC.

The Chiefs came out flat against Tennessee because of circumstance and lack of depth. Our offense was literally one of the worst in the NFL week 1.

Bowe was suspended
Wilson was hurt
DAT was hurt
Jeff Allen got hurt before halftime
Stephenson was suspended
Kelce played only 19 snaps that game because we didn't know how he was going to feel in his first real game coming back from that knee injury.

It was essentially Alex Smith, Jamaal Charles, slow ass Anthony Fasano, a horrific Donnie Avery and 2 WR's who will be lucky to make rosters this season as WR's.

That won't happen this season. This team has a lot more talent, drive and most importantly depth.
Depth killed the Chiefs last year. I think they are mostly prepared for it this season should injuries occur. We have a VERY deep team this season.

Charles was hurt too.....he only had like 12 touches.

That was a ****ed up game....the injuries ruined the entire season.
