Well this is clearly not true, so what's your point? I can't think of another movie people so baselessly decided to hate in my life. I haven't seen it. I don't even know if I will, to be honest. This hate based on one bad trailer and some controversial casting (including 2 of the biggest comedy stars on the planet) is just mind boggling to me. Hell, the theme actually wasn't that bad for what it was. Did you guys actually think the original theme was any good? I mean as a kid I thought it was awesome, but of course I am capable or revising my opinions as I get older.

It's just weird. I hope it does well primarily because the knee jerk pre-reviewing internet herd is waaaaay more annoying that the 'no new ideas', Hollywood retread system.

We survive tons of shitty movies, but this one the creators and talent are determined to shame people for not celebrating.

It flared back up this week because it's getting screened for critics and there are clearly some movie critics, many from questionable sources, who are being cheerleaders rather than objective reviewers.

To be fair, the creators and talent have been the subject of a lot of hate simply based on casting four women. Before the first, admittedly bad trailer came out. I agree however, that the review you posted is clickbait garbage.

Eh, I guess I've just seen way more bitching from fanboys than anything. I'll take your word for it on the marketing ploys. Most of what I've seen is the typical lame cashing in on the original stuff that you'd expect. Like I said, though, I'm sure you're right.

If you want to bitch about sexism, your initial approach should probably not be sexist. In this case, Feig deliberately set out to cast 4 women as the Ghostbusters which, as you know, was originally an all-male group. In other words, the one who took a sexist approach is bitching about alleged sexist responses to said sexist approach. So Feig, and the rest of the SJW ****wits bitching about all the mean people who aren't happy with the decision, can all go sit on running chainsaws.
