With the #1 pick in the 2017 NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting, we introduce Cleveland Native and Browns fan Drew Carey.
He walks to the podium, pushes up his trademark glasses, and looks at his card.

The 49ers have a real shot at continuing to suck for the forseeable future. This is not a one-off season for a team that has been rudderless for a very long time.
So as they'll be picking in the top 5 again next year, a reach at QB just isn't gonna be in the cards here. The 49ers select Marshon Lattimore, CB - Ohio State. In all actuality, they need to trade out of this pick. There are a ton of guys that can help them and Allen seemed like a no-brainer until that damn shoulder thing. With that and a poor combine, there just doesn't appear to be a consensus #2. If the 49ers can trade to 5 or 6 and pick up as much as a 2nd for their troubles, they should do so. It 'loses' badly on the draft pick calculator but who gives a shit?

As ESPN's cameras start to lock on a moping Mitch Trubisky.
The nation waits and hopes for an Aaron Rodgers draft day slide. There's nothing more fun than watching a presumed top 5 pick fall past a couple landing spots and then sliiiiiiiiide into the late teens, early 20s. The angst is just written all over their faces.

So I guess I'm on the clock.
I'll be real honest, if I'm Jacksonville here I'm trading down and looking for an additional first rounder next years draft, and frankly I can see it happening. |

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Solomon Thomas, Defensive End, Stanford
Luxury pick in my opinion, they have a ton of money invest in their D-line. Sorry, just can't go QB, RB, or OT here. So I'm taking the best guy on the board. |

Tennessee is shocked he didn't go earlier but I guess with shoulder problems is why he has fallen.
The Tennessee Titans select Jonathan Allen, DE Alabama |
