Yet in 2014 they sat on their ass and let Cleveland jump them for Manziel. We could be in our 3rd SB season now.

I think it was Pest that floated that exact offer when he suggested moving up to the Colts spot at 14 (I think it was 14).

Most of the Mahomes fans jumped on it. And I figured that was a fair suggestion for what it would take to move up to that spot. I never thought it would get us all the way to 10.

Just a remarkable sequence of events from Dorsey. I'm still a little in awe of it.

I heard something on the radio that Dorsey has (correctly) called every pick in the first round since he's been here.

Looks like it was RunKC who suggested our 1st this year, 3rd (comp) and 2nd next year to move up to 14. That would've been light and not gotten it done anyway.

Honestly, I can say now that I'm excited that Dorsey pulled the trigger and totally on board with it. And were I the GM, I'd have never seen the Saints move coming. But presuming the complete information that Dorsey has (i.e. he simply knew more than we did), I'd have been on board with this move.

If he wasn't getting scoops and just went with gut instinct here, I'd have never had the stones to do that. I'd have waited until Baltimore's pick thinking that AZ was bluffing and I'd have never seen NO coming (or figured on Houston's aggression getting them up that high) and I'd have been left holding my dick and Reuben Foster.

What's even more amazing is that first round pick we sent is probably going to be in the last 4-5 spots again, so it's no worse really than losing a high second, and we still have EIGHT picks in this draft.

Dorsey is the ****ing man.

It's clear that he was perhaps the draft's hottest commodity.

Rumors on Cleveland considering him at 12 also.

Pretty awestruck right now.

I just feel like Trubisky is a 'settle' pick.

You're worried that the hot girl at the bar is going to **** your friend even if you manage to get her to chat you up, so you start talking to the bookish 6 sitting next to her just to hedge your bets.

Weird decision.

Trubisky to the Bears was the worst pick of the 1st round. The Bengals tried their best to top them though.

Ross was an odd one, for sure.

I mean I love that guys upside and he's not just a burner; he's a good route runner with solid hands. He might be a great one; a legit Desean Jackson in his prime kind of player.

But with the knees being questionable for a burst player....man that's early. I kinda think the Corey Davis thing put them on their heels and they panicked a bit. It's the only explanation I have.

I was so glad when the bears took Trubisky off the board. I hadn't heard anything linking him to us, but just felt better knowing it wasn't an option.
