Budweiser found to have specifically targeted idiots with "Dilly dilly!" campaign

...in my own experience.

Seriously, why do people love these commercials so much? Isn't the spiced honey-mead wine a better gift than bottled and chilled urine? How did this king win his throne anyway?

Is the enthusiastic "Dilly dilly!" dude in the gallery a scheme by BIG LIBERAL BEER to indirectly skewer the right as fat and ugly??

Is Canofbier a CP plant by BIG REPUBLICAN INTERNET to make the left seem like nitpicking nancies???

I love good beer, and even was given one of those tin signs to hang in the garage that read "Life's Too Short To Drink Shitty Beer". and I used to subscribe to it. Until Good beer started costing nearly $10 for a six pack.

screw that noise.

I'm not a tightwad by any means and I'll definitely spring for good beer but damn...I still cringe at the cost of good beer these days.

Regarding Miller High Life...I actually enjoy it every now and then. . But,.....it has a drinkable shelf life of about 5 minutes from the fridge. It's not too bad if it's ice cold. Once it goes from ice cold, to just cold.....it can get a little dicey. But, ice cold after working in the heat/ yard for a few hours....it's pretty tasty.

I used to LOVE Michelob....not Ultra...just regular ol Michelob in the cool looking bottle. But man...I haven't seen that in years. Just Ultra and whatever the beer they have in the dark style packaging (can't remember the type of beer it is).

I like Bud, but not Bud Light. BL gives me a headache as I'm drinking it.
Bush Light in a bottle is good on a hot day too.

If i had endless amounts of money, I'd be drinking nothing but the likes of Moose Drool, KC Bier Dunkel, Boddington's / Caffrey's / Young's stouts, various Pale Ales, Goose Island 312, etc.

Can't really blame Moose Drool for being expensive. Do you know how hard it is to collect drool from a moose?

If I had a dump truck full of cash I'd still drink the same beer. It would be the same beer the trendy craft beer snobs look down on.

The good news is I'm old enough I don't give a shit if people like my beer choices or not.

The slogan in this campaign is just dumb enough to work. People who like it, use it and people who hate it still know it and are talking about it. win win.

I picture a Moose standing over an old still of sorts, and just slowly letting the drool drip in like a coffee pot. Had to get a moose to stand still for that long.

Bud Light is atrocious and those commercials suck nearly as bad. The only AB product I can stand is Michelob.

I think it's a smart play by them. It's a higher abv ~6% amber lager. So, more flavorful than regular Bud. It also seems to be marketed as a limited release (Missouri only for now I think??) so that pushes intrigue.

I like amber lagers, vienna lagers, and American adjunct lagers so I'd love to see a landscape where big macro brewers brewed more flavorful beers for the "good beer" drinkers, and more "good beer" brewers brewed more regionally accessible lagers (lawnmower beers) for "regular beer" drinkers at a price point everyone can afford. Who doesn't want to drink a well made, flavorful, affordable beer that's brewed by your mom and pop brewery down the street? That's not beer snobbery, that's American.

Dilly Dilly. Look it up. It's also a phrase for an extremely exotic hand job with essential stimulating oils.

I will admit making fun of the hipster and his spiced wine is the only clever part of the commercial. If they had done more with that and less mindless authoritarian CONFORM BS it would be good.
