Guess what Andy Reid decided to work on over the bye

Only took half the season before he got around to it.

One would think, by this time in a football players career, they would already know how to line up (and yes, I'm talking to you Mr. Ford), no?

You'd think so, but we're one of the most penalized teams in the league and have been since Reid rook over, so...

You both are right !!

Because of the intensity of that particular situation players can get overly hyped/excited and overlook the little thing that becomes the BIG THING in the end therefore coaches need to remind players to control those things they CAN CONTROL in "DO YOUR JOB" but we all know Dee Ford is not the sharpest tool in the shed based on his previous 4yrs with the team.

Likewise, we all know Dee Ford has been playing football since childhood and knows the rules.

You bring up a good point here. IMHO we are more penalized because Reid has not built our "trenches" on both sides of the ball as needed therefore when the athletic talent is absent especially against better teams we commit more penalties to compensate because we are not athletic and physical enough.

If you’re going to correct someone’s grammar in point 1, I would recommend not making three glaring grammatical errors in point 2.

1. “If he would’ve RUN...”
2. “...and GONE for it”
3. “...still hadn’t have GOTTEN”

But yes, this is a place for discussion. We know where you stand. It’s exhausting reading your take over and over again. If Reid ****s up today, by all means, go after and destroy him. But your arguments are stale by this point and you’re just rehashing the same stuff ad nauseum.

I still love you though.

It's not a hard equation.
You sound like Patriots fans who can't get over their Super Bowl rings any time somebody tries to say a QB like Mahomes, Wilson, Jackson, etc. is currently better than Tom Brady.

"CALL ME WHEN THEY GOT THE RINGS!"

Okay.

I want a Super Bowl ring. Nothing else matters. Not MVPs. Not Coach of the Year. Not AFCCG appearances.

I want the big one. Period.

Do you work for ****ing "Newsy" now? What kind of tap dancing, pickleshit question is that?

I and several others have stated already that Pat's superhuman abilities stand little chance of surpassing the deficiencies that make Reid who he is.
You respond with a fantasy where Andy turns over his "golden playbook" to Pat and then heads out to the concession stand for some fries and a Coke while Pat runs the offense in his stead.
Oh hell, let's go balls out:
After returning with his snack, Andy proceeds to do something he's never done before; he moves from unit to unit, player to player, coaching his entire TEAM throughout the course of the game! As a result, the Chiefs advance to the AFCCG where they win by a score of 84-2 after TB12 is decapitated by a rouge asteroid which burns down to the size of a bowling ball in atmosphere!
Chiefs go on to SB victory while Clay, SNR, and Neckbeard Chief celebrate with a 3-way bukkake fest which lasts all off-season!

My bad.

I thought this was a place rational adults could have an objective conversation.
Or, if you hate the subject, you could elect to read something else?

Uhh... so do I.

Look, I can't tell you what to think or how to root for the team. I do think you're being a tad irrational when it comes to our head coach, but that's all I can do is express my opinion.

Patrick Mahomes has brought back a personal investment in this team that I thought was gone. I didn't imagine having a franchise QB would be THIS magical. They as a tandem will lose more games. Probably will end up losing at least one more this year. But my faith in the team is back.

If I'm wrong and Reid really does **** up everything about the Mahomes years, then whatever. I'll throw him onto the dust bin of Chiefs history as the players from Super Bowl IV keep dying off and that team becomes not even a memory told by the people who experienced it but something you have to read about in a history book. Nothing will have changed in my life.

But if I'm right, then I will have experienced glory in the best way possible. Perhaps even multiple times. Maybe it's done with Reid. Maybe it's done without Reid. But I'm guessing it's gonna be done with Patrick Mahomes as the QB. It's only a matter of time.

Again, Mahomes is going to IMPROVE. This is something I've said multiple times but it seems to get ignored. The kid is already amazing. And he hasn't reached his prime yet. Eventually, he'll have seen everything a defense can possibly throw at him. He doesn't forget anything. He's Peyton Manning with more mobility, a stronger arm, and minus the pouty shitty attitude.
