Has anyone ever traveled on Greyhound before?

My job wants me to travel and I was thinking of taking greyhound as I'm not a big fan of flying. How awful is it?

Seriously though, go to your regular doctor, tell him you have a fear of flying, and get some benzos. You won't have any problems getting them.

Take them about 30 minutes before your flight and thank me later.

I picked someone up from the Amtrak station in Chicago once. Had to be 95% Amish. It was like I stepped back into the 1800s.

He was probably there on his Rumspringa. Instead of looking at him weird, you should have asked him to party. He probably would have given you a couple of lines of whatever he had in his pocket.

It's actually not all that unfortunate.

Get the right stuff and you simply won't care that you are flying.

Xanax erased my fear. I doesn't just erase my fear though, it actually makes flying ENJOYABLE.

I don't think a luxury bus line can compete with flying on long distances (>300 miles). But I think there's a market opportunity for luxury bus lines in the routes that are under 300 miles. I would use one if I was able to get wifi and a comfortable seat and a clean bathroom. There are ways that a bus can differentiate from planes at that distance given that planes are making the same mistakes on cost competition, and at that distance the timing likely isn't any different than showing up two hours before a flight to get through security.

Having said all that, I've never done a long-distance bus ride. I pondered it a few years back and then read the reviews and noped out of it.

If Amtrak runs, that's a viable option. I wish Amtrak was a little more upper end, but it's comfortable and I prefer it over flying.
There is a great Youtube video of a guy going cross country on Amtrak in a sleeper car. It actually looked pretty cool.

Can't remember if I was sick or incredibly hungover but I binge watched Amish In The City back in 2004 and that's all I could think about.

Yeah I mean there was no mention of travel when I interviewed or got hired and the job is remote. This seems like a hassle and just like do the training that needs to be doing remotely

You can find videos on YouTube of vloggers who have taken it. It serves a function, but it's slow and the clientele can be...eclectic. It's not something I'd personally consider unless the cost was a huge issue.
