The restaurants/businesses here in Scottsdale have a affordable housing issue. The restaurants/stores can't hire people to work for $15 an hour because the people who might be interested in filling those jobs have to commute a great distance to work there and it's not worth it to them. This is a hidden issue for restaurants and other low paying jobs in high end areas. How to find low cost workers when average rent is $2,500-$3,000 a month and gas is $3.50-$4.00 a gallon.

I never realized this problem until like 10 years ago when I lived outside DC in Ashburn, Loudoun County and a restaurant owner told me about this issue.
