The reason Chargers didn't extend him was because the run game was his weakness. I think he has done fine so far and will definitely get tested 'now'. But I love his instinctual ball hawkishness anticipating where the run or throw is going for sure.

I think the difference is pretty negligible. I like Bolton but I don't expect much if any of a dropoff to Tranquill as the starter.

They have different strengths, but overall Bolton is a better player.
I do agree Tranquil covers a little better though.
