The ATL chapter didn't have the people to run the tailgate and cook the meat. So we looked for a vendor. Our representive contacted the ATL Falcons for a recommendation, the Falcons recommended this Birdlady who has our money.

The Falcons said they had worked with her numerous times. Hired her themselves. She has billboards up in the ATL metro advertising her business. She agreed to discount her fees to keep the cost down for the Chief fans. We thought this was a home run choice. All the money you sent in via venmo or paypal went directly to her.

Everything is going smooth as planned. Until she doesn't show at 1:00 in the tailgate lot. We were finally about to get ahold of her at 2:30. She said she had an emergency room visit due to her asthma. She was leaving the hospital against doctors orders and would be at the tailgate by 3:00.

She never shows. No response to text or phone calls from about 20 people that know her. They all speak highly of her. But, doesn't return phone calls, texts etc. She also attended the game last night. We have pics/

We cancel the tailgate and say everyone will get their money back.

The Falcons hear about this. and contact us. They feel bad because they recommended her. They want to see if they can get the money from her without filing a criminal complaint. She stole 13K from Chief fans.

We are giving the Falcons a little time to have her refund the money back that she collected. If that doesn't work, we will be filing a criminal complaint with the ATL police to get our money back.

If you're going to file suit, might as well name the Falcons too. The woman might be unable to repay and since the Falcons recommended her, their deep pockets would be enough to refund everyone. The Falcons sure wouldn't want the bad publicity either.

I'm assuming them asking to delay going to the police until they have tried to get the money back is to avoid the eventual bad publicity for them.

You bought tickets? We know how many tickets were bought and what you were charged. You don’t need to request. When we get the money back, it’ll be refunded to the account that purchased them. It’ll usually go through PayPal/ Venmo.

I paid directly to her through the link you provided in this thread which provided her PayPal account. I did this the day before the event as that is what it said to do. I did pay through PayPal but I used my credit card on PayPal. I can possibly dispute it with my CC as fraud but they may not look at it that way since the money was technically paid to PayPal and not that lady as far as they can see. Do you have any emails from the Falcons I can share with my CC company?
