Two things:

1. Players like Toney don’t “retire” from pro sports. You can’t walk away from something you don’t have — a job.

2. He always thought of himself more as a rapper than a football player. That’s why the NFL is “retiring” him (not vice versa).

He'll only want to be a rapper, until he has to work hard at it. Then he'll move on to something else which requires little effort. Losers do that.
