Only a complete ****ing reerun thinks:

1. Worthy is a "gadget" WR

2. Worthy is behind Brown in the pecking order

Brown has the more complete route tree and better hands and understanding of zone coverage. And he cam play outside too.

Brown would be the X receiver and WR1 on a handful of actual NFL teams.

He's not, but he can actually play the X or slot. He's not just a gadget Z receiver.

This is a guy who went for 1000 yards playing primarily outside on the Ravens.

I'd be utterly shocked if Royals beats out Brown for a starting role this year. Brown would be the number 1 on some ACTUAL NFL TEAMS. Not just Utah State.

Hardman is gone, we don't have anyone that's just a 'gadget Z' receiver.

Hollywood is many things, but physical isn't what I'd call the strength of his game, and I don't think fighting through a press corner at the line of scrimmage is really the best way to use him.

Rice or Royals either one would be better for that role.

You DO understand the X receiver is the guy that can't go in motion that is lined up ON the line of scrimmage, right?

Hollywood was the WR1 on the literal highest scoring offense in the NFL.

I'd be utterly shocked if Royals beats him out.

So you actually watched the last several weeks of the season/playoffs and came to the conclusion that Hollywood > Worthy?

Again, only a reerun could have possibly come away with this.

Rice and Worthy are 1A and 1B. Hollywood is firmly in the WR3 spot, regardless of where he lines up on the field or the routes that he runs.

This is an Andy Reid offense. All of that other stuff is irrelevant. It's about who's going to be getting the targets, and that's very obviously Worthy over Brown.

7 Men have to line up on the of scrimmage. It's not a choice. It's a rule. You cannot be a WR1 in this league if you require motion to get open.

So you DIDN'T know. But now you do.

Something else you don't really seem to know-

In KC, everybody knows all of the WR positions and can line up anywhere on any given play. It's a thing.

Also-promising rookies will start with a small package of plays, and ramp up over time. This has been the way Andy gets new guys in the flow since he got here.

So no, Royals will more than likely not start in front of Hollywood. Assuming Rice is good to start the season, Royals won't 'start' at all.

But, his skill-set is most similar to Rice, although he's faster. Size-wise, he can be play 'X'. Speed-wise, he can play anywhere.

Hypothetically, of course. It's May and we have no idea how it will all shake out.

To play the X you need to be a very crisp route runner. Look at Davante, Jefferson, etc. You don't just blow by people like that if you're name isn't Randy Moss.

Does Royals run crisp NFL caliber routes?

You called Worthy a gadget Z. Does Worthy run crisp NFL caliber routes?

Yes. Yes he does.

Now you're showing your ignorance... or trolling when you start talking in absolutes like that.

I love how you think you're dropping knowledge

Tell me what Worthy's target rate was down the stretch, particularly in the playoffs/SB, and explain how where he lines up changes that at all.

I'll wait...

He didn't know. I told him, and he went and looked it up. Now he's dropping some knowledge.
