BATracer, a free browser-based racing sim - anyone want to get a league going?
BATracer is, as stated in the subject, a free browser-based online racing sim. In short, you sign up, pick a series, and take the driver's seat. You adjust your car's setup during practice through an intuitive slider to find your "sweet spot," then qualify and either race your way to victory or flame out in failure. You set up qualifying and race strategies, determining when you push harder, when you pit, and which tires you should use in which conditions.



It sounds complex and difficult, but it's pretty easy to get a handle on it, really. The total time commitment per day is maybe ten minutes, if that, and it's surprisingly fun to follow the race results lap by lap. If you've enjoyed online games like Pimp Wars or other such games, I think you'll find this to be a somewhat more rewarding experience. Or maybe not, but it's worth a shot.

Looks complicated. I am interested but also I don't know crap about racing other than who finishes first.

It's an F1 2006 league. We're currently five (?) drivers short of being able to start, but I went ahead and created it so we could get things sorted out first. Just create an account, then click the link above to join the league. You don't have to use your real name in private leagues, so just use your CP username or something if you want.

Official release: Well Demon Racing opens another season out on the track this year running with a ferrari engine. High hopes are abound as last years pancake and cocaine scandle is behind Demon. Demon took the ferrari out to test some dry setups and his setups became worse and worse everytime an adjustment was made. "The car was loose then tight then loose, reminded me of my ex" -demonpenz exclaimed in an interview. Lets just hope he can stay off the drugs for the entire year. Demon's offical times
