Colts then attmepted to get back some of the signing bonus. That failed but they must have thought they had a pretty good reason. So Simon was no where near Indianapolis this past season which was only his second with the Colts after signing a huge free agent contract at the start of 2005.

Failing the physical this time was a formality. Colts never intended for him to be back as he still apparently has the non football related health issue. They have now come to a settlement that will release Simon. But he was essentially released last year as before the 2006 season started Polian made it clear he would not be back.

Whatever this non football related health issue is, it must be a whopper. If Simon manages to hook up with another team then it won't be what I think it is.

so what is the speculation in Indy?
