We should add more offensive coaches

Since Vermeil and Saunders left, we have had no brainpower on offense. Gailey is a start. Let's add Shula as QB coach (give him a title in addition to QB coach and throw money at him), Mularkey (he was a successful OC in Pitt, and has worked with Gailey), and let's even add Eric Price as passing game coordinator or something. An OC at UTEP can't make much money, just throw him a few hundred grand, and he'd come here.

As expensive as players are, we can add assistant coaches very cheaply. Herm needs all the help he can get on offense, and Dick Curl is not the answer. Gailey, again, is a start, but let's rebuild this thing with some smart guys.

Just throw money at them? You think that's all it takes to bring coaches to an offense this bad?

A team does not have to let an under contract coach leave for any promotion below the level of head coach. In practice, most teams will allow an assistant leave for a promotion to coordinator. There is no way the Jaguars would let Shula leave his contract for a lateral move.

The Washington Redskins are an example of how too many coaches, regardless of their experience level and knowledge is not a good.

HA HA! Nice.

I wouldnt mind to see us add the Price guy as a 'specialist' and a WR's assistant coach or some shit. I think he would take it to get his foot in the door to the NFL with hopes of moving into the OC role somewhere. As for Shula, could we name him QB coach and assistant OC or something??

I don't know why, but I have a good gut feeling about Price too.
