Swapping 6th rounders? No biggie. just fodder to seal the deal.
That sounds about right. Does that synch with the NFL draft value chart?

Correct. The 2 3rd rounders from the vikes = almost exactly the 2nd round pick slot at #17.

It's the equivalent of the 8 or 9 pick in the first round.

How do the Vikes 2 third round picks measure up to the Vikes second round pick? Is there any discernable difference in the point value. (Most of the NFL guys seem follow that value chart pretty closely based on what I've heard.)

Thanks. I guess that means that the Vike's 2 third rounders are only 25 points lower in value than the Vikes' 2nd rounder (430 vs. 405) or about 6% less. Not bad. As for the swap of the 6th rounders, that appears negligible. It would be plus 1.6 for the Chiefs if they traded the 187th pick. Or it'd be minus 4.4 points for the Chiefs if they traded the 170th pick. Hardly worth the effort. Points aside, I think the Chiefs benefit from volume as they need so much help. All in all, the end result gets a thumbs up (if they don't screw up the picks.)

No one was going to give them a 1st and 2nd rounder this year. This is as close as we can get to the best market value.

Agreed. I don't think anyone else would have come close to what the Vikes offered. Philly & Tampa included. I'm happy for the trade and hope to be happy after the picks have been made.
