Except he said virtually none of those things. That was all interpreted. The press asked "Will you talk to Tony about this?" - and he simply said no because he was trying to end the conversation so he could get the conversation back on the game. He doesn't want every young player on the team talking about "why doesn't Tony want to be here?" this week rather than "how do we beat Tennessee?". This is also why Belichick gives short answers - he doesn't want to get drawn into feeding a story line that becomes a distraction.
