Even though it failed...

I agree with us going for two at the end. Except for that last drive, our offense was non-existent in the 2nd half, and the Chargers were moving the ball at will. We would not have won in overtime.

Nice game. I wanted the win but I think was more important was Thiggy being good and coming back in the 4th. We have saw his play in the 4th with a lead but was impressed with his play from behind today. Wish they had him roll out on 3rd as well as 4th down but I am happy as a piggy rolling in shit.

So you think the odds of getting a 2 point conversion are greater than 50%?

But that is not the decision you are making. The odds of getting a two point conversion were better than being the first to score in OT. That is the decision.

I would hope getting 2 yards is greater than 50/50.

And how exactly has he had the team prepared-we have choked the 2nd half several games this year-it shows Herm can't make adjustments.

Yep. The string of 3-and-outs we had could've REALLY benefited from the bootleg. Why we waited until then to finally call one is beyond me.

Bullshit. Take the 99.9% sure points (I didn't blame Herm for the earlier PAT miss and I wouldn't have blamed him here either...that's not a coaching decision) and go play OT. This was as stupid a decision as I've ever seen a football coach at any level make.

And I completely disagree with those odds.

Also, someone said earlier that you can't put it on the defense in overtime. It only goes on the defense if we lose the coinflip, which is a 50% chance. The chance of getting a 2 point conversion are less than 50%. That is the decision.

Meh, with a 1-7 team I agree with going for 2.

I can't even complain about the playcall, it was a boot.
Just gotta give SD credit for stopping it.

It was the right call, playing on the road, with this team.

Win or lose it there, don't leave it to a coin toss.
