The Best Show on Television... Entourage
This show fuggin Cracks me up. Maybe Im just sheltered because I dont watch TV much, but I started watching this show midway through season one, and freaking love it. Its about this young movie star and his brother, and two friends from New York, and his rise to stardom... Tonights show was at the Sundance Festival, where Vince's latest movie Queens Boulevard was a huge success... plus Turtle and Drama double-teamed this Peace Corps Chick and accidently "crossed swords". heh. funny shit. [Sorry Gochiefs, but they didnt show that part] Freaking Ari Gold, played by Jeremy Piven is fuggin unreal in this show. He makes it. Here is some cool extra footage. Anyway, if you have HBO on Demand, check it out... its great TV. http://www.hbo.com/entourage/ Last edited by teedubya; 06-26-2009 at 05:01 PM.. |

Does that mean season 5 episode 6? They were all like that. If the first season is 8 episodes, and the second season is 14, I am assuming that I need to start on episode 23. |

Though, I've been told that I expect too much from Entourage.

Season 4 was cool and it looks like this season they're wrapping up nicely. Some of the individual episode may have not been strong but it appears that they're wrapping up the theme of this season. Vince was a nobody who became a superstar (for no apparent reason other than his looks) and now, he's close to being a nobody again. It's all come full-circle. I think it sets up season 6 quite nicely. And I'm also expecting Gary Cole's character to be a back-stabber at some point, so there will be drama again in Ari's life. |

All I know is I don't really like Drama in this season. He used to be a likable guy but his antics are just getting so dumb that they aren't even very funny anymore.

I think everyone liked Entourage when he was on top of the world and driving Aston Martin's etc, but people have gravitated away from it b/c he is down and out.
For me, it seems more realistic. Like a lot of actors probably go through something like this at some point throughout their careers and I think it shows Vince's resolve to restore his credibility. |

Having said that, they kept the character consistent: principled.

I agree with you, the show kind of seems like it's got no clear direction. I am looking forward to the season finale though. Hopefully it leads to a better uphill season. |

Dunno when the next season will start though, hopefully not like next fall. The writer's strike probably started this season late, so who knows. Maybe DaneMcCloud can shed some light on that. |

I doubt we'll see much resolution for each of the characters until HBO gives them a definitive end date because there's enough Hollywood stories to keep the show on forever. |
