That's one of the most talented cores in the league. Wilson and DRC are flat out freaks. Dockett is one of the strongest guys at his position in the league. He was a great NT in a friggin 3-4 and he weighs 280 pounds.

For him to get so little out of a defense with that much talent is positively Guntherian.
This.

That's a SICK defensive core.

core? wilson has been there how long? Berrtrand Berry used to suck in Denver IIRC..

how long did it take to get those players together?

and they were 15 seconds from winning the SB, i think it's fair to say they got alot out of them

Wilson has been there for 8 years. He'll be 30 next year
DRC is a rookie
Rolle is a 4th year guy
Dockett is a fifth year player
Dansby is a fifth year player
Berry is in his 12th year

That team gave up the following point totals last year:

56, 48, 47, 37, 35.

That's terrible given the talent on that defense.

Their ranks the last four years with Pendergast as D coordinator in points allowed:

28, 27, 29, 26.

That is pure suck.

ok, I think i got it now..if you deem players good, it's always the coaches fault, and if you deem the player bad, then it doesn't matter who the coach is...that's a pretty cool system...

I don't have to deem the players "good". Anyone who knows their ass from a hole in the ground would tell you that those are very, very good players.

You didn't even know if Bertrand Berry was good or not. You just spouted off that he sucked 5 years ago in Denver (which he didn't). You have 0 credibility in this discussion.

well those very, very, very, good players didn't rank very high.

that's why I posted IIRC..and upon further review in the thread , it looks like he had one good year five years ago...so, it's not like he was on fire...it's taken him all 12 years to become a solid player.

and for you think you are the credibiltiy sheriff of the board is nothing short of hilarious...oh look someone made a mistake....oh noooooooooooes, my poor fragile sensibilities.

Adrian Wilson is one of the top 3 strong safeties in the game, DRC is going to be a top 5 corner, Dansby and Dockett are playmakers, and Berry has always been a very good player. He had 26 sacks in two years in a 4-3 and is getting really solid numbers as a 3-4 end, which isn't a position where you generate sacks from.
