Broncos release Bly
Broncos axe another: CB Dre' Bly released

Broncos released CB Dre' Bly.
Including Monday's cuts, Denver is now saving over $25 million against the salary cap. Bly was due $3.25 million in 2009, but he has largely been a disappointment since the Broncos traded for him two years ago. Turning 32 this spring, Bly may have to compete for a starting job next season. Feb. 17 - 8:12 pm et

Well, in fairness, that wasn't a bad trade. The Broncos got Bly in exchange for Tatum Bell and George Foster. I'll take Bly over those two stiffs any day.

Now, you could argue about how the Broncos got those two stiffs, and - I got nothin' for ya.

my larger point is that Shanahan had pretty much lost "it" and was well into Stage 5 Marty flame out....
