The number one pick in 2010 is very unlikely. Now, before the Cutler trade, I posted something that said getting 8 wins was going to be brutally tough.

Now, we've seen the trade happen... we've had the draft, the FA additions have all happened for the most part.

I'm still not expecting more than 8 wins. Sure, every year there appears to be a Miami that comes from out of nowhere to surprise, but as I look at the schedule below... I'm buckling up for a hell of a ride.

I project at a worse case - Denver splits with the AFCW, it tends to alway happen. I'm also going W/W to open up vs the Ohio teams, granted these could also go either way - neither of them screams balance and greatness.

The bolds are my preseason projected wins.
The blues are my "hmmm, something positive could happen here" games.

I still think Dallas is loaded, but I like them early in the season in Denver... and anything can happen with Washington. Giants in Denver... they're still very good, but they're WRs aren't great. But, it will still be a difficult game for Denver.

The reds are the games I think will require a miracle for Denver to win.

1 - Sun, Sep 13 at Cincinnati - 1:00 PM
2 - Sun, Sep 20 Cleveland - 4:15 PM
3 - Sun, Sep 27 at Oakland - 4:15 PM
4 - Sun, Oct 4 Dallas - 4:15 PM
5 - Sun, Oct 11 New England - 4:15 PM
6 - Mon, Oct 19 at San Diego - 8:30 PM
7 - BYE
8 - Sun, Nov 1 at Baltimore - 1:00 PM
9 - Mon, Nov 9 Pittsburgh - 8:30 PM
10 - Sun, Nov 15 at Washington - 1:00 PM
11 - Sun, Nov 22 San Diego - 4:15 PM
12 - Thu, Nov 26 NY Giants - 8:20 PM
13 - Sun, Dec 6 at Kansas City - 1:00 PM
14 - Sun, Dec 13 at Indianapolis - 1:00 PM
15 - Sun, Dec 20 Oakland - 4:05 PM
16 - Sun, Dec 27 at Philadelphia - 1:00 PM
17 - Sun, Jan 3 Kansas City - 4:15 PM

All in all, I project 5 wins in bold - this is my worst case scenario.

I have 4 games in blue... I think they could win 2 of these and be doing well.

The reds... I have to hope the stars are aligned right this season and the team with all the change and new additions gets on a fast track to success.

So, my best case is still 5-8 wins... barring major injury, I just can't see them winning fewer than 5 games.

I see them losing at cincy to open the season, and losing to SD at investco. Then they probably sneak out (see Ed Hoculi) a couple of games you have as maybe games. I give em 4 or 5 wins.

Seriously, if anyone really thinks Hoculi did that on purpose, you're nuts.

Anyway, yeah - teams always win and lose games that should have gone the other way. That being said, I'm still holding to the number of 5-8 wins. It's going to be ugly.

KnoMo should be by here soon to call me out and tell me why they'll win 11 games.

I'm optimistic about the changes, I'd feel a lot better if Marshall weren't being a jackass...

I can't stand the broncos, but I'm not saying this because of that. I really think they screwed the pooch with the hiring of McDaniels. I think they screwed it again losing Cutler. I honestly think the franchise set itself back 4 or 5 years in the last 4 months. Much like the chiefs did when they hired Herm Edwards. You guys had a team with the best young offensive talent in the NFL and a creative head coach. They really needed to simply remove Shanahans titles and have him just be head coach, then hire a great D coodinator, draft and use free agency for defense, and be competing for the superbowl in 2 years. As a chiefs fan, I am thrilled that they didn't do that.

That was the one away game I ever attended, and to lose it like that sucked so freaking much that its not even funny.

Basically it went from having a good time in Denver to having to Fly out to Denver just to get Gut-Checked for the 2nd week in a row.

Don't forget that was a week 2 game last year. In week 1 the Chargers lost on a last Second TD to the Panthers in the back of the endzone...another game I was at and got sunburned to hell at.

Ahhh...Bad Memories.

I can only attend so many...

Not including PreSeason Games

2008 - 10 Games (8 Home Reg Season / 1 Away Reg Season / 1 Home Playoff)
2007 - 8 Games (7 Home Reg Season (I was sick during the fires) / 1 Home Playoff)
2006 - 8 Games (7 Home Reg Season (We already clinched by Week 17, donated ticket) / 1 Home Playoff)
2005 - 5 Games (5 Home Reg Season (Had a weird work sched))
2004 - 8 Games (7 Home Reg Season / 1 Home Playoff)

Needless to say, their overall record is pretty good when I attend games...it took a hit this year though.
