Cassel injured - who dunnit?
I'd say the replay clearly indicates Niswanger and McIntosh once again teamed up to suck. This time they suck badly enough to get Cassel injured.

First, the initial pressure is put on Cassel by #90. This is Waters' man. However, Waters can't get to him because Sackintosh/Niswanger get in his way.

Cassel is forced to run because of pressure from #90. After running around, #92 tackles Cassel's knee. Why is #92 running free?

He split a double team attempt by Niswanger and McIntosh.

They suck.

The starting OL has been absolutely atrocious since the first preseason game. There are a lot of plays where the OL is just standing around and don't appear to have a clue what their assignment is.

If Bowe can be put in the doghouse for not giving 100%, how can the entire OL not be kept on the field longer and asked to run additional drills until they get it?

It's been my gripe since signing Cassel. Why spend all that cash on a qb (with moderate mobility), and have an OL that sucks that bad? I thought for sure we would draft an OL with the first rd pick and get another in FA/Trade. McIntosh, Goff, Niswanger, and even Waters have been abysmal.

Goff must have thought the DT was going to drop back into zone coverage because he completely leaves him and moves behind McIntosh.

By the way, it's not just pass protection. I saw some awful shit on run blocking last night in reviewing the game. Awful, awful shit. Half the time these guys can't even neutralize a linebacker.

I believe that is a DT, so Goff should have been responsible for blocking him, though we've seen the Chiefs put a TE on the DE and have Goff and McIntosh double the DT.

Niswanger reacts to a LB who appears might have a seam, but waters did a nice job of sealing it before he got into the hole.

The blame on that play almost ceratinly has to go to Goff.
