Looks like the uncharted 2 demo comes out tomorrow at 11 central time....i may not dl it just cause i want to buy the game on the 13th without any sort of tease

Schweet. I'm on Chapter 7 playing on regular and it's already had a couple of pretty challenging scenes. Great game!

I'm excited, i havent' seen a better looking game on ps3 honestly either with the 1st one, i hope this series keeps going and naughty dog makes more games like this

Funny because that was exactly how I felt when I played Batman AA. I have never enjoyed a single player game near as much as AA. I can only hope that U2 is capable of at least being equal.

Forums and blogs across the internet are abuzz with reports that the newest PS3 update has broken the system, rendering the Blu-ray drive unusable.

The long awaited 3.0 firmware update for the Playstation 3 integrated a wide variety of improvements, such as upgraded friends lists, trophy sharing, and a bit more personalization. Unfortunately, it also appears to have caused some problems with the Blu-ray drive.

Customers are reporting that both games and Blu-ray discs will play fine for around ten minutes and then just freeze up. The increasingly common story is echoed by countless posters on the Playstation blog such as JohnnyAstro who says that he “upgraded to 3.01 3 days ago, and in the middle of playing a game a day later, the game locked up, and that was it. The drive cannot recognize any disc now. Tried putting in games, Blu-ray movies and DVD’s. Nothing.”

Reportedly, Sony customer service is stating that this is likely a coincidental hardware issue, and customers are being asked to pay $150 for repairs on their systems. While this issue does appear to be widespread, it definitely isn’t happening to every system. If you’re using your PS3 as a Blu-ray player though, it may be wise to avoid the update until this all gets straightened out.

Anyone having this issue? I have update from 3.00 to 3.01 and have only tried playing my smallville dvds in it and it has worked fine, but haven't tried a game or bluray, so i assume my system is ok...

I've only played DVDs, and Video games, no blu-ray movies since updating to 3.0

Havent updated to 3.01 yet.

I haven't played any BD disks since the update but my games have performed perfectly fine. That will be a load of horseshit if they expect people to fork over $150 for something their firmware update caused. Coincidental my ass.

This thing really is taking forever. No set release date in the US is disappointing and hopefully it will not be that long after. I keep wanting to like Forza but it's just not the same.

I just don't get the love for racing sims at all. I've tried quite a few and just cannot enjoy them. Closest I ever came to liking one was Burnout Paradise but it isn't a sim either.
