That approach must totally go out the window, and this is what I was getting at with respect to the elite type of players he will get.

When he was with the Chiefs, I remember an interview he gave in which he talked about franchise QBs. He said (paraphrasing), "When you have a Peyton Manning, you give him the ball and tell him to go win the game."

If this was more than empty rhetoric, he'll do fine at USC, since he'll have Manning-type talent at the college ranks.
