Butler will play better defense than people expect, just like the last three games. I think if they can shut down Syracuse, plus Pullen and Clemente they can handle anything. That's the only good thing about this matchup for them... they really aren't giving up anything in terms of athleticism like they would against West Virginia.

The factor nobody will talk about the next two days in the inside game. Duke can rotate all those big guys and cause serious problems... Howard has to stay on the floor longer, and Butler's offense needs to show up. They really haven't yet.

While I believe Duke will win, I don't think Butler is as much of a ridiculous long shot as other people seem to. Joe Posnanski wrote a very good article about how Butler isn't exactly David.

Butler went 28-4 during the regular season, ending on a 20-game winning streak. They finished 8th in the coach's poll and 11th in the AP. Despite their conference, they are a very good team that should have been at least a 3 seed. Yes, Duke outclasses them athletically, but so did Syracuse, Kansas State and Michigan State.

If Butler ends up beating Duke, it will be a moderate upset, but nothing on par with The Miracle on Ice, Jets over Colts, or Giants over Patriots.

Seems to me that Duke should win this game easily. And since I've been wrong about almost everything that's happened so far in this tournament, Duke will probably forfeit to Butler.
